AFS Group was set up in 1994 as an independent party focusing on specialised financial services. The company was active in the professional stock trade, acted as a commission broker on the Amsterdam stock exchanges, and as an asset manager. AFS also carried out activities as Floorbroker on the European Options Exchange (now Euronext Liffe).
In 1999, AFS consolidated its position by acquiring AOT Moneybrokers. Within AOT, Moneybrokers was active on the money- and capital markets as a mediator in interest products for professional clients.
The first couple of years in the new millennium were focused on the further expansion of the services of the AFS Group. In 2001, the London office was opened in order to be able to serve AFS’ clients also from there. Now, in 2011, AFS has solidified its position as one of the most influential independent financial brokers in The Netherlands.
